Bobath therapy
Bobath therapy is a special treatment concept for adults (and children) with disorders of the CNS (central nervous system). The concept is based on the central nervous system's ability to adapt to stimuli and learn.
It is important for the treatment to make full use of the patient's abilities and to look at him holistically.
In adults, Bobath therapy is used primarily for multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, after a stroke with paralysis, traumatic brain injury or other neurological diseases such as paraplegia.
The treatment includes, among other things, the stimulation and strengthening of paralyzed parts of the body as well as the training of improved balance reactions and body awareness.
PNF Therapy
PNF therapy (Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation) is a special treatment concept for adults with disorders of the CNS (central nervous system). The concept is based on the central nervous system's ability to adapt to stimuli and learn.
It is important for the treatment to make full use of the patient's abilities and to look at him holistically. The treatment includes, among other things, the stimulation and strengthening of paralyzed parts of the body as well as the training of improved balance reactions and body awareness. This happens via stimuli from the musculoskeletal system, the eyes, the hearing or the skin.
